Overview:

Foamed concrete is GSI’s specialised lightweight cementitious fill, designed for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective filling of abandoned or redundant underground infrastructure. Produced by mixing a cementitious slurry with a naturally derived foaming agent, it forms a highly flowable material that can be pumped over long distances to completely fill voids and cavities.

Ideal for pipeline abandonment, culvert filling, void stabilisation, and lightweight soil replacement, foamed concrete provides a durable, low-pressure, and self-compacting solution that flows easily into irregular or hard-to-reach spaces. It delivers long-term performance with minimal shrinkage while reducing the load on soft ground. With lower cement and aggregate requirements, it’s also a more sustainable alternative to traditional fills.
